This post is a bit overwhelming, as there are soooo many pictures to add! I might end up posting several editions so that I'm not posting until midnight tonight.
Let's start with Lucky Oyster Tuesday night. Some Centerville people went out to wish Stephanie farewell in her travels to Arizona. These pictures are courtesy of Pam:
Now... on to the PA trip. We left Virginia Beach Thursday morning and stopped before we even got over the bridge for Tiny Tankette to use the bathroom. Here is how Maddy rode, pretty much the entire way:
Her head was on the center console with her back feet on the back seat and her front paws on the floor. Not too comfortable! 4 stops, 1 storm, and several crazy country roads later, we arrived at my mom's house in Ephrata. Maddy was much happier about her vacation when we arrived:
Brynn and Camryn were also happy to be there. These kids should just quit being so miserable all the time:
Throughout the weekend, a great friendship developed between Brynn and Kip:
We got some delicious Chinese food that first night, played some Seinfeld trivia, then called it a night. The next day, we woke up relatively early and drove to Orwigsburg to visit Bev. Then it was party preparation time. Many of the following photos are courtesy of Colleen and Todd, who are much better still picture-takers than I. First, the food:
Spot some of your favorite references in this photo! Now look closelier at the labels of the next few to know the episode!
I smell Calzones....
Cosmos... the beverage:
Eclair in the trashcan:
Marble Rye:
Kevin's meat tray (isn't he good??):
Muffin Tops, etc.:
These garnishes are unrelated, but still pretty:
Moving on to other decor. Jerry's toys:
Frogger station:
Other assorted games:
"The Kramer"
Some clothing including "Human Fund" and "Hello, Newman" t-shirts, as well as a puffy shirt:
A poster, which our guests signed:
Some signs:
(Note: Most of the text you see in these photos was "professionally" done by Karen Psimas. If you like what you see here, check out her blog at: www.fancyfontsbykarenpsimas.blogspot.com )
Now for the costumes. Not everyone dressed up and some were subtle, but I tried to get most of them here. Let's start with George and Elaine (our friends Todd and Colleen. Check out my October post and the wedding awards for pictures of their real faces):
We also had Kramer and "Good/Bad Naked Girlfriend", who were Mandy (a teacher at my mom's school) and her husband, also known as "Tony", but really named Josh:
Kevin was Puddy, although this picture doesn't really showcase his "grease monkey"-ness:
I was Sue-Ellen Mischkey, candy bar heiress, in my bra shirt:
Not pictured are 2 Sidra's ("They're real and they're spectacular"), the Sideler, Mulva, Estelle (George's mom), and Donna Chang.
The next pictures are of guests and the scene. We had a great assortment of people, from high school and college friends, to former co-workers and family members. I wasn't great about taking pictures so some people who were at the party are not pictured, but hopefully more people will add pictures soon and I can update:
As you can see, this was a really good time.
After a grueling clean up the next morning, Kev and I began to put our new "Label Baby Junior" to good use, labeling everything and everyone in the household. Some of our favorites:
Uncle Big Face:
My mom earned herself several, including "hungover", "lightweight", and "amateur hour":
Here's why she earned those ratings:
If that photo had a time stamp, it would read well after 11 AM. The REST of us spent the afternoon shopping for bridesmaid dresses. Here are some good shots:
Carrie-Anne ended up with the strapless dress that Karen and Melissa picked, while Elizabeth had a similar dress with straps (much like what I would pick if I was them, since some of us are not blessed with the ability to hold up strapless dresses...)
Saturday night we went out with Tim at Marion Court, since he was not able to come to the party. We also met up with Nick V. as well:
We stopped by my house this morning, then headed home and made it in 5.5 hours. Not too shabby... mostly it was an awesome time.
