May Showers Bring... August Showers. And Weddings.

The final update post brings you Tim and Haylie's wedding shower, my baby shower, and the northern weddings.

So the wedding shower surely was a fancy affair, with lots of delicious food, fun guests and hard work by Miss Fancy and her Pinterest Fancy assistants. Look how pretty!

Next, several months later, came another Fancy affair... my baby shower, also sponsored by Fancy Fonts and Pinterest. Look how cute!

I mean, I guess not everyone considers a boob hat "cute" per say, but who cares what they think anyway?

Lastly, we attended and participated in two lovely weddings in New York and Rhode Island for Lindsey and Matt and Haylie and Tim. It was such a great weekend!

New York first:

Now Rhode Island:

And this is how the weekend ended, with a request from Grandma for a "nice" picture:

 Christmas card? I think so!

Where's the Polar Plunge 2012 Photos?

Whoops! This post was saved as a draft last February. Excuse the delayed big reveal of the Polar Plunge 2012 photos.

Our theme this year was Where's Waldo? It was inspired by our inability to find ourselves in the awesome aerial shots the take every year. The plan worked perfectly and we got some real gems both close up and from a distance.

The day began with the annual Kevin painting by Fancy Fonts founder, Karen Psimas. I do not know how this poor woman manages to paint her brother's newly shaved nipples every year. Bless her. In honor of the superbowl game to be played the next day, Kevin was outfitted with a Victor Cruz jersey and featured on several news stations doing his touchdown cha-cha on the 7th street stage.

You'd be surprised (or maybe you wouldn't) by how long this painting takes so the girls, Wendell, and I had a good time entertaining ourselves.

I crocheted enough hats for all participants, so even those who didn't plunge were easy to spot for rides home. Some pre-game shots:

The temperature was surprisingly warm so this was not as unbearable of a plunge as years past (see 2010 for Wendell's and my first plunge during a snowstorm) and we had double drivers this year so no taxi for us:

All in all it was a great day. Proof:

I am very glad to have no pictures survive of the after party, also a housewarming. We had a really good time and I missed about half of it due to Kevin's inspired coffee ice cream drink making skills. Whoops. At least Kevin was worse of than me in the end:
