Spring Break 2011

We've been quietly living the dream all winter...

...but the dream is too good not to share this spring break. Kip, Matt, and Dayna joined us for the first weekend for (not)Crushfest and Raf's birthday. Then I went to Lancaster for a few days and finally we had a beach-ful Easter. Prepare to be dazzled by this smorgasbord of photos and videos.

While Dayna and the Psimases were in with a sick baby and Brynn hid her new painted nails from Kip...

Raf and I had a night at the Wyndham courtesy of a wedding discount and his birthday. Our room:

There were some problems, however. First of all, a storm was brewing:

And our room came with these two scumbags:

But after a lovely dinner at the Surfside Grille (where we discussed our growing concerns over SISASS- Self-inflicted shark attack suicide syndrome), and a pool rejection, the idiots left for Hooters and Raf and I were left to ourselves. He enjoyed his birthday Karl book while we had breakfast in bed:

We were treated to this lovely morning view:

And then it was time for the festivities to begin.

We started at home for some pong and bloody marys while Brynn chased JP:

We rode our bikes to the ocean front only to find that so did 4 billion other people:

So we couldn't get into Crushfest. We went to Chick's instead:

We biked home (with much drama and ordeal) and spent the rest of the evening partying at the Psimas'.

The boys golfed the next morning, then we went to Swell for lunch where they tried to win us a lobster:

Headed to PA the next morning... I didn't take many pictures, but here are a select few I took to share my homeland with my Virginia friends:

You may need to zoom to see the Mennonite mowing or Greg's tiny house, but surely you can see Kevin's favorite thing: Central PA's tendency to put respectable businesses in regular looking houses.

While in PA, I got to go to Blueball to see my students and former co-workers, got my nails shellacked at the finest nail salon on the east coast, had many meals in fancy places (including "Easter" dinner at the Cork and Cap), visited Brecknock and Shady Maple, went to Sheetz on the way to visit my grandmother in Pottsville, went to the bar with some Brecknock people and Carrie-Anne, did some shopping, wrote a lesson for Greg in exchange for getting my car detailed, and got my hair Brazilian straightened.

I left PA the Saturday before Easter and started the holiday with breakfast at the Psimas' followed by this:

Ahhhh.... we are back where we belong!
